CLIENT TESTIMONIALS
My 9-year-old daughter has been stuttering since she was 4. Over the last 5 years, we have tried to navigate the world of private speech therapy and school evaluations. At times, we were told that she didn’t qualify for services. Other times, we were offered services completely focused on reducing her stuttering, only measuring success by the reduction of “disfluencies”. This was frustrating for all of us. Though she often reached these “goals”, her stutter would always end up returning with varying severities. It got to a point where she became anxious and embarrassed, and we just wanted to help her.
When I reached out to Cassie initially in October 2021, I immediately felt like she understood our situation. I could immediately tell that she’s passionate about what she does. She’s professional, but also easy to talk to. She’s also energetic and engaging, and even my 4-year-old would get super excited for her to come over for home visits! She taught my daughter many strategies for her to have in her back pocket, when she feels like she needs them. I have seen her use them many times, with success! However, most importantly, she changed our mindset on how we viewed her stuttering. Cassie focused on my daughter’s self-advocacy and self-esteem, helping her (and us as parents) learn that it’s OK that she stutters. It isn’t something that needs to be “fixed”. It’s part of who she is, and that is OK! She has strategies she can use (if she wants to!), but her work with Cassie has completely changed all of our attitudes surrounding stuttering. I have seen my girl flourish with this mindset, after many years of frustration and embarrassment.

I am so glad that you came to help me learn strategies to help with my speech. I also feel better about the fact that I stutter and I feel more comfortable about it.

Miss Cassie is nothing short of amazing. She not only assessed and evaluated our son’s needs, but in just a couple short months, she’s found a path to significant progress with him. She gets down on the floor and teaches through play and finds outside-the-box, engaging approaches. We are so grateful to have found her and couldn’t recommend her highly enough!
- Parent of child, age 6
My husband and I cannot adequately describe how wonderful our experience with Cassie has been. Cassie worked with our 5 year old son and although he has “graduated” we both wouldn’t hesitate to recommend working with her!
7 reasons why you shouldn’t hesitate to contact Ms. Cassie
1- She’s professional- She has the skill set and knowledge on best practices that will actually help your child.
2- She’s timely- No waiting 6 or more weeks for a public school assessment (and then more for an initial meeting). Cassie can assess and create a timely game-plan for the best course of action for your child.
3- She speaks to you like you’re part of the team (because YOU ARE)- Everything will be explained to you in a way you can really understand. Language and articulation difficulties can have some really complex vocabulary but have no fear Ms. Cassie is here to break it all down for you.
4- Her work is based on play- each visit my son loved the games Ms. Cassie had. Yes, that meant sometimes she had to think on her feet but that didn’t stop her from getting the job done.
5- Her space is adorable and functional: Got a little who needs to move? She’s got the space for that. Want to work outside? No problem- she can do that too.
6- Results- You will see them, especially if you implement suggested activities at home!
7- Her passion. You can tell Cassie loves what she does. She loves children and helping them master new skills. She meets them where they are, loves them regardless or their challenges, and strives to help them feel success.
